Tony as

~ Tony ~
September 9, 2005

...a brief biography of Emil T. Miller (Tony) - by
Brian Malott
Of Irish descent,
Tony was born in a little
cabin in the rural piney woods of Carroll County in the state of Georgia,
attended public schools in Carrollton and Stone Mountain, and attended West
Georgia College. Striking out alone for Texas with $7.50 in his pocket,
he has since made his own way in life. He has lived and worked in five states
and South America, and traveled extensively in the West and Southwest, in Mexico
and Canada, hunting ,
exploring, and researching historical Courthouse records. Early in life he sacked groceries
as most young men must, served honorably in the U. S. Army, was an auxiliary
police officer for a short time and then was a wiper on an ocean-going freighter. He
has worked
in a printing office, an aircraft factory, managed a large motel, an exclusive
nightclub, and was a heavy equipment operator as well as a journeyman tradesman
and foreman in every trade involved in heavy engineering, petro-chemical, and
multi-story high-rise building construction projects in Texas and South America.
At Austin Tony married a
Texas girl, and together they raised three children. He was elected to the
Austin, Texas Water District Board of Directors and was asked to serve three
terms as president of the Optimist Club as he concurrently and for several years
was a Little League baseball coach and the player agent for three leagues. He
became a Southern Baptist and served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent,
Teacher, and Youth Director.
Tony rose to construction
Project Superintendent, Project Manager, then to a position that would lead to
tenure as Vice President of a company building multi-million dollar projects in
this country as well as in South America, where he was also an undercover
Government Operative and unlicensed pilot during the time Castro's man Che
Guevarra was agitating for the Communists. Then later while with the Texas State
Building Commission, he was for several years the Chief Construction Estimator
and Legislative Advisor, co-authored and helped pass the Texas Handicapped
Accessibility law, was the Governor’s State Coordinator and Team Leader for all
declared disasters occurring to buildings and facilities in Texas, and otherwise worked as an Architect/Engineer
designing State buildings and facilities statewide.
Retiring first at age 42, Tony
has since been a partner in a construction
inspection and estimating service, a real estate appraiser, a bank Loan Officer,
a private construction consultant, a developer of residential subdivisions and
built several homes himself in his spare time. At various times he has owned and
operated a discount
department store with auto repair and body shop, a sawmill, a suntan/ fitness
studio, a restaurant, an over-the-road trucking company covering 48 states, a
snowmobile rental/touring business, a food concession/catering business, and was
a rancher and hunting guide/outfitter while living in Colorado.
As a writer Tony has
written engineering periodicals, constitutional Conservative political discourse
in the form of guest editorials, op-ed articles, and has ghosted articles for
notable columnists in various
national newspapers as well as written a memoir and five novels in the
Historical Fiction/Adventure category. As he has said, “I have been compelled
somehow, to follow my little stars wherever they led, and to cram all I could into my time on this earth.”
Brian Malott
Tony resides mostly in Southeast
Asia (mostly Thailand) and in the U. S. A. in the state of
Tennessee. He is currently in Thailand for another 6 months, and is
intermittantly working on his next book. Click this link to read about these trips
and see all the pictures he took:

(*) The following books will be mostly of
interest to
FAMILY MEMBERS:
[NOTE 1:
For the time being, these will not be available through a printer. Because they have so many pages
and so many color photographs, the cost would be prohibitively high. We
have however, at our own time and expense and on our own computer equipment,
color laser printers, and binding equipment, produced a set of the following
books and distributed one to the surviving head of each family of our mother's and
father's generation. More of these can be produced and so are available to other family
members. For those OTHER family members who might want a copy of their
own to keep and pass on (children, grandchildren, etc), we will produce a copy
for you as well, as time allows, at our basic cost for the acid-free paper, archival
inks, laminating and binding materials (or for CD's), as shown below. This
amount includes the packaging and mailing expense.]
(*) BROCK FAMILY

MILLER FAMILY GENEALOGY and
MEMORYBOOK
(Incomplete and unavailable as of the present time - See
Note 2 below)
[NOTE 2: I have
been working on a MILLER FAMILY GENEALOGY /
MEMORYBOOK for some time now, but unfortunately this effort is now virtually at
a standstill, due unfortunately I must say, to lack of interest. although
I have contacted all of my first cousins and asked them make available such
information, old photographs and memorabilia as they have, so I could scan, copy
to my computer hard drive and return to them, I have had only limited response.
Except for the interest and help of certain of these cousins to whom I extend
my sincere thanks, I would have little towards this effort except for my own
parents' information, photographs and other memorabilia, all of which I have now
scanned, copied and have ready to go in the book.
To my knowledge all
my direct Miller family kinfolk of my generation
have now passed away - my Uncle G. B Miller recently (one of my father's
brothers) being the last one - and this is indeed unfortunate. I or
someone should have started this effort sooner. Although I have had some
nice and much appreciated help from a few
of my Miller cousins, such a book would be inadequate and incomplete without all the
available photographs and memorabilia from the others who have not yet
responded.
[I sincerely hope that this
website will serve to encourage the good will and participation of enough of my
beloved surviving Miller family to enable me to complete this effort.]

INTERESTED IN
CLASSIC CARS?
My name is
Max Miller
and I have been working on classic cars for many years now. I am restoring
three at the present time.
I have a
1967 Ford Mustang for sale now, priced at $4,000
(photos below), in it's present state.
It is a "Numbers Matching" 6 cylinder car
that will soon be completely and carefully restored. The interior has been
completely redone, the nice tight engine has a new head with new valves and new
seats - the body is in excellent condition except for the final painting, but I have yet to completely re-work the brakes and put new tires on
it.
Please note again that the price is as the
car is now(*).
As the work is completed the price
will be adjusted. The painting will be last, and if you are interested, and at
such time as you might contact me and I have not already painted this beautiful car, I will paint it
to order for you. I will paint it any standard Ford color for the advance non-refundable
payment of $400. If you are interested you can contact me and I will give you
the final price as soon as I see what my final cost is.
The reason for asking an advance regarding the
painting is that certain
standard colors have always sold well, while others do not sell well at all, in
which case I could be put at a disadvantage. I hope you can understand this.

I will take any other view for you that you might
want, and either post it here or email it to you.
(*) The car can be seen at 650 Canaan Road, Columbia, Tn., at any mutually
agreeable time.

NOW CONSIDER THIS:
I urge you to consider what I believe
is the very best newspaper in the country:
TheWashingtonTimes-National
Weekly Edition
http://www.AmericasNewspaper.com
This excellent newspaper, published in Washington, D.C., is
arguably the nation's foremost newspaper of record. Their
National Weekly Edition costs little more than a
dollar a week - only $59.95 for a full year. Coming
in the mail once a week, it is a compendium of all the major World, National,
and State news and articles which have appeared that week in their daily papers.
The paper is editorially Conservative, but its articles are straightforward,
without bias or slant and is non-selective. It gives ALL the news ALL the
time, without agenda, and it keeps people up to date and completely informed.
When I was introduced to this paper some years ago, I cancelled 5 magazine
subscriptions as well as my local and Nashville newspapers because I received
far more true and unbiased information in it than all the rest of the
left-leaning, agenda-driven publications combined. Unaltered truth and
facts are what I require, and I highly recommend this
newspaper!
