The truth is that the political agenda of the
Liberals, as evidenced
by their strident Environmental spin, is driving the issue of Environmental
Protection, and that most of the sources available for self-sufficient living is
dominated by some of the most virulent and politically driven of these "Enviro-Whackos".
Political advantage is their greater goal, over true, reasonable and genuine
environmental measures, and this forces the rest of us to deal to some extent
with suppliers of alternate energy items who dominate this industry and which
some (like us) had rather not deal.
There are a few that are
not as virulent, that have good stuff at reasonable prices, that give good
advice and who have a more balanced view of the subject. Those we list
here. As to some others out there, we hereby cast you among the wolves.
The first listing, a
magazine, is the one we consider to be the best all around publication for
anyone wanting to simplify and enhance the quality of their lives, live more
economically, and to live more healthy and unpretentiously. At one time
they were dependably Conservative in their views editorially, but have since
compromised this position to the extent I canceled my
subscription. Nevertheless I still consider it at least as good as
available for self-reliance purposes - until a better one comes along.
The next, Lehmans
hardware, in business almost 50 years, I consider to be the best source for self-reliant items.
But there are
many other good ones.

on the environmental issue as related to the political
agenda of the Left, we
make the following observations;
Notwithstanding
the utter nonsense of the Socialist Democrat proposed "Cap and Trade" and the
so-called "Climate Control" legislation (for the present, leave these for their
own separate discussion, let us examine the over-arching debate over
"Environmental Issues" per se.
The
Leftist Media allow and promote the debate to be dominated editorially and
politically by some of the most virulent environmental whackos imaginable, those who
put weeds, bugs and pests above the lives and above the private and public
property of human beings without regard for their welfare or rights whatsoever. As to their
so-called "global warming" gambit, we feel most everyone with common sense
and a smidgen of intelligence understands that this is a
contrived "issue" having no credible scientific basis other than
discredited "junk science," but due to the indifference of so many it
continues to be an effective tool for their Socialist agenda.
It is a fact which the Enviro-Whackos understand very well,
that as a category (we hate their word "group"), Conservatives overall are every bit
as, if not more environmentally conscious than them, and conscientiously
practice environmental protection and preservation. They of course will
not admit this because their agenda is to legislate our Constitution out of
existence in favor of an
all-powerful Central Government which their Elite control, and the
"issue" of the environment provides the same kind of camouflage for
them in the same way as does their word "Liberal", a euphemism for
"Socialist." The bottom line is that environmental protection for them is
simply a tool they use to mine the votes of the well-meaning but gullible
airheads among
us.
As an example for instance, hunters are far more
Conservative than Liberal and they practice
and fund far more diversified and meaningful property and wildlife protection
and conservation / preservation than any Enviro-Whacko group, the Sierra Club
included. Facts are facts but you will never hear them from the Leftist
Media. The difference is that
Conservatives never seek to let the tail wag the dog by placing
environmental or species considerations above the lives, the well-being, or
use of the private property of humans, believing that they can both exist in
reason and common sense, and be even more effective. If they or the
government wishes to pursue their outlandish demands, they should buy the
property outright, and pay at minimum the fair market
value for it rather than tyrannically dictating what the property owner can or
cannot do with his own property. That is not Socialism, but the next step,
Communism. What is going on now is patently unfair and even criminal.
We must put a stop to this nonsense.
As just one of many obvious examples, consider the "Spotted
Owl" issue in the Pacific Northwest. Now discredited as having minimal
impact on this bird, the shutting down of the carefully managed lumber industry
at the cost of more than 11,000 jobs (11,000 families with no income at all) in
order to "protect the habitat" of a bird "feared to be in danger of extinction"
stands out. This occurred under a Leftist Democrat administration, and it not only shows their
callous disregard of the welfare of families and citizens and the extent of the
mindless lack of wisdom and common sense of these Leftist Enviro-Whackos, but
more importantly it shows their Socialist agenda and ultimate goal of the
usurpation of private property - a basic tenet of Socialism.
Another
example closer to home for us in this area of Tennessee is the cancellation of a
major Water Conservation project in Maury County, which would have created
thousands of jobs, huge water reserves, cheaper electricity and other huge economic benefits to
the people
of Tennessee and this area in particular. The "justification?" "To protect the 'endangered'
snail darter" of all things!
Consider another instance, the predicament of the
family of third and fourth generation Americans of Japanese decent who had
been farming their 400+ acres in California for decades when these
Enviro-Whackos, in cahoots with the Leftists in Bill Klinton's Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA), discovered a kangaroo rat on their property. First
determining (just how I wonder?) that this rat was endangered, they threatened
these people with jail if they did not immediately stop all farming and other
activities on their own privately owned property so as to "protect" this rat.
This family had just gone in debt for some expensive equipment they had always
wanted, but now they could not make the payments. The result? The
family lost their family farm which was sold at auction for an amount smaller
than their equipment debt. Neither the Enviro-Whackos nor the Government
bothered to bid or to compensate the family in any way. And after all, who
would pay but a pittance for property which could not be used? Who would
have ever thought such a thing could ever happen in America? At last check these
good people and many of their extended family are now homeless, in debt,
penniless and living with other relatives. But they are too proud to go
on welfare!
These three ridiculous occurrences are just the tip of
the iceberg. Such as this is going on all over the country and the overall
apathetic ignorance and inaction of the people, along with the cover-up by the
Leftist Media is making this all possible. I sometimes wonder if as a
people we will wake up before it is forever too late. For sure we
will richly deserve whatever fate befalls us as a nation.
God said it and I believe it, that humankind are to have
dominion over the birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and the beasts of the
fields. If for instance, a snail darter's existence (whether real or
contrived) is "threatened" if a water conservation project is completed, a
project which
would provide better lives for thousands of human beings, then that project should
take precedence and move forward, rather than scrap it in a contrived "fear" of the
"endangerment" of such as the snail darter. Utter hogwash! Indeed the straight
fact is that thousands of species die out every year, totally unpreventable by
man, as others either mutate or
are discovered, verifying for the politically awake among us as to just what the hidden agenda of the
Liberals really is. Ultimate Federal control over all private property
anyone?? Aka pure dee unadulterated
SOCIALISM! Wake up
America!! Ten and more young trees were being planted for
every one cut in the Pacific Northwest, and since that "Spotted Owl" nonsense occurrence there will be
far fewer trees because of this fiasco. And this not to mention all the
billions of dollars in live trees and homes burned in the last few years
directly due to the policies which the Liberal Democrats of the Clinton and previous
Democrat administrations
forced on the Forestry Service, policies which now prevent even the harvesting of the natural deadfall trees, thereby creating
the fire
hazard covering several states which cannot be (has not been) contained as fires break out -
which inevitably happens - and which has already destroyed hundreds of thousands
of homes in several states. Speak of the tail wagging the dog! Methinks
that obviously the agenda of these Enviro-Whacko's, aka and including Liberal
Democrats, is far more political (Socialist) than environmental,
and those either in denial or with their heads in the sand are a large part of the problem.

This excellent newspaper, published in Washington, D.C., is
arguably the nation's foremost newspaper of record. Their
National Weekly Edition costs little more than a
dollar a week - only $59.95 for a full year. Coming
in the mail once a week, it is a compendium of all the major World, National,
and State news and articles which have appeared that week in their daily papers.
The paper is editorially Conservative, but its articles are straightforward,
without bias or slant and are non-selective. It gives ALL the news ALL the
time, without agenda, and it keeps me up to date and completely informed.
When I was introduced to this paper some years ago, I cancelled 5 magazine
subscriptions as well as my local and Nashville newspapers because I received
far more true and unbiased information in it than all the rest of the
left-leaning, agenda-driven publications combined. Unaltered truth and
facts are what I require, and
I highly recommend this newspaper!
